Pall-Ex Iberia launches its new temperature-controlled service

Pall-Ex Iberia has launched its new temperature-controlled service, operating from its San Fernando de Henares hub.

Just a few months before Pall-Ex Iberia's 10th anniversary, the business launched the new service on 22nd March.

As experts in palletised freight distribution, the temperature-controlled service operates at temperatures between two and eight degrees centigrade and is the latest addition to Pall-Ex Iberia’s impressive offering.

The business is taking bold steps as it hopes to become a pioneer by providing a service that will shape the sector's future. Enric Estruch, Managing Director of Pall-Ex Iberia explains that this is an important milestone for the sector. He comments;

"By launching our new service, the market will now have access to an efficient and innovative solution, which provides a great alternative to the current temperature-controlled transport options in the region.”

Andrés González, the company's Business Development Director, also emphasised where the Pall-Ex service will be focused on. He comments;

“This innovation, which has been welcomed by customers and partners alike, is designed to ensure that temperature-controlled shipments are now as efficient and accessible as possible, with improved reliability of delivery times.”

Pall-Ex Iberia and its network of quality members have successfully prepared to welcome in the new service. The new central hub in San Fernando de Henares covers more than 12,000 m2 and includes a specially designed area that is dedicated to the handling of temperature-controlled freight.

The launch comes as the network looks to continue its positive momentum despite a challenging year because of the Covid-19 pandemic. The good work of the company’s central and regional hubs continues to impress, as the Mediterranean and Southern hubs have already moved 100,000 pallets each since they opened in 2016. The hub in the North East which opened in 2015, has now handled 300,000 pallets, with the Barcelona facility already surpassing 80,000 pallets, having only opened in late 2019.

Pall-Ex Iberia’s commitment to delivering quality is supported by the attainment of the ISO 9001:2015 certificate, awarded by AENOR, which recognizes the quality of the network’s work, and its customer focussed approach.

Pall-Ex Groups Managing Director of International Business Units, Mark Steel, has been in constant communication with Enric and the team throughout the preparations for the launch and is excited to see the new service take the business to the next level. He comments:

“Pall-Ex Iberia continues to demonstrate its commitment to quality and to providing the best possible solutions for its customers. The addition of the new service will mean the business can support a wider range of customers and further diversify its portfolio, which will help the network to go from strength to strength.”

As Pall-Ex Iberia reaches this latest milestone, it continues to look for quality logistics companies to join its membership.
