How our model works
Our domestic business model operates on a hub-and-spoke basis where regionally based sub-licensee depots collect freight from their customers, consolidate it at their depot and line-haul it to the Pall-Ex transhipment hub in their territory.
Then at the Pall-Ex hub, freight is sorted and outbound freight is re-loaded for line-haul back to the sub-licensee depot. Once back at the sub-licensee depot, the final delivery is made to the customer.
Just as the Pall-Ex hub has a responsibility to ensure that each connection is made, each sub-licensee depot has a responsibility to its peers to ensure that the customers’ goods are collected and delivered as required.
By uniting independent road transport companies to work collaboratively together in a network, Pall-Ex has introduced huge efficiencies, enabling customers to send consignments ranging from single pallets to part loads, quickly and very cost-effectively.
