Pall-Ex Group adds further accreditation for quality to the collection

Pall-Ex Group adds further accreditation for quality to the collection.

Pall-Ex Group has received another internationally recognised accreditation, adding to the already extensive collection.

Fortec Distribution Network, part of the Pall-Ex Group of Companies, has earned the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management accreditation for high efficiency and exceptional customer service levels.

Achieving the accreditation has been a target for Fortec Distribution Network for a number of years and there has been a large collective effort from all areas of the business since the process started in July 2020.

Kelvin Sidaway, Fortec’s Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Manager has played a key part in Fortec’s submission and achievement.

He commented: “The whole process involved very strenuous evaluation, interviews with staff and strict audits throughout, which required support across the whole business, from senior management to staff on the shop floor.

"Having this accreditation gives our members reassurance and peace of mind that we have quality processes in place to ensure their freight is delivered as it should be, whilst showing that we are trusted and passionate about continuously performing at a certain level.”

“We have built a system from the ground up and I have completed additional training to manage the overall application for the accreditation. It has been challenging but it has also been extremely rewarding to be part of the driving force for this initiative, seeing Fortec and Pall-Ex Group earn yet another accreditation.

The ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management award forms the framework and sets out the essential stages in Fortec Distribution Network’s five-year plan. The next step is to earn the ISO 45001 Health and Safety and ISO 14001 Environmental Management certification.

Kevin Buchanan, Pall-Ex Group CEO, added:

“Achieving this ISO accreditation not only proves that we are doing the right thing, but it also adds a trusted, internationally recognised seal of approval, clear for all to see.

“Having a documented system on how we run our network helps us to continually monitor and manage quality whilst identifying areas of improvement – it’s an incredibly powerful business tool. In terms of benefits to our members, we hope it gives them a sense of pride to be part of a professional pallet network that is accountable at an international level.”
