Pall-Ex Poland Opens New Hub

Pall-Ex Poland has celebrated its latest milestone by opening a new central hub in Łódź.

The new facility means that the central hub now finds itself in the center of the country, making it the perfect location to increase the network’s efficiency.

Around 140 km from the Poland’s capital Warsaw, Łódź, is the traditional heart of the Polish textile industry, with the city featuring impressive turn of the century factories and warehouses.

Thanks to its position, Łódź is now a favourite location for countless logistics companies operating within Poland and Eastern Europe, making it a vast improvement on the previous site in Skierniewice.

The new hub supports Pall-Ex Poland’s ambition to increase annual pallet volumes to exceed 500,000 in 2023, as the new hub provides more space and transshipment docks, further improving hub efficiency.

The investment does not end with the new hub, as the impressive new offices also include a state-of-the-art training room, where staff can develop their skills in Pall-Ex Group’s sector leading IT system, Nexus.

Managing Director of Pall-Ex Poland, Piotr Kołtuniak, is excited by the opening and explained how the business plans to maximise this new facility.

He comments: “Our new hub is a fantastic improvement over our previous facility in Skierniewice, meaning we can now really push on with our growth strategy.

“We have ambitious plans, but thanks to the investment of Pall-Ex Group and our partner Uniq Logistics, we are confident that no goal is out of reach.”

Piotr continues: “We are always expanding our team as our network grows and the next few years will be very exciting for all of our members and the team.”

Joining the team in Poland to mark the occasion was Pall-Ex Group’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Peter Paxton.

As CFO, Peter has worked closely with Piotr and the team as they secured the funding for the new hub and continue to invest in the network.

Pall-Ex Group’s Managing Director - International Business Units, Mark Steel, oversees the Group’s entire international operation.

Although Covid prevented his travel for the hub opening, Mark describes his excitement about what the event means for Pall-Ex in Poland.

He comments: “We are really proud of what Piotr and the whole team have achieved so far in Poland. Their hard work and persistence continues to deliver great results.

“The new hub signifies Pall-Ex Poland’s intention to become leaders in the palletised freight industry in the coming years. The state-of-the-art facility gives the network fantastic flexibility allowing it to maximise any opportunities that arise.”

Mark continues: “We are continuing to develop our international presence, with new master licensee opportunities being made available globally so it is a really exciting time to be leading Pall-Ex’s international venture.”

Pall-Ex Poland has stated its intention to become the leading pallet network in Poland with its new hub and investment.
