Pall-Ex has sped into 2019 by celebrating the successes of its network members at a prestigious awards event.
Members from over 90 haulage SMEs from around the UK were in attendance, along with international partners and quality suppliers, as the logistics giant hosted a glittering awards ceremony hosted by comedian Paddy McGuinness at De Vere East Midlands Conference Centre.
The event rewarded network members, international partners and Pall-Ex staff for a successful 12 months, which saw the firm win a major industry accolade, increase pallet volume and launch new IT software to improve usability, with full consignment visibility and streamlined booking processes for domestic and global freight.
Ilkeston-based PMB Pallet Express scooped the sought-after Depot of the Year award, which was voted for by members of the Pall-Ex network and was based on the firm’s first-class service.
Premier Palletised Ltd, which is based in Wembley, was selected by Group managing director, Kevin Buchanan, for the Outstanding Contribution to the Network accolade.
The company celebrated 25 years in business and a £5 million turnover in 2018, having been launched by managing director and former DJ, Adam Hopcroft, from the bedroom of his council flat.
Regional winners were also celebrated, with ADD Express winning for Scotland and the North, Direct Deliveries winning for the Midlands, Surrey Pallitz for the South East and Pall-Ex South West for the South West.
Cranleigh Freight, Matthews Haulage and Mars-Jones were all rewarded for being the Highest KPI Performer of the Year 2018 in their respective categories.
Winners were all rewarded due to their commitment to the Pall-Ex network, demonstrated by their compliance, quality distribution, service excellence and communication.
Additional winners include Neill and Brown Global Logistics for Business Growth, DBL Logistics for New Member of the Year 2018, Pall-Ex Romania for Pall-Ex International Network of the Year.
Moody Logistic and Storage received the Staples Award for Delivery Excellence and JT Leyland received the Jelf award for Excellence in Freight Management – two new accolades to celebrate the Pall-Ex’s commitment to ongoing quality partnerships.
